Please help! Setting the 9509s time????

Can anyone help? I want to set the time on my shiny new 9509, (currently just shows --|-- when I press the time button) but I don't seem to be able to do it. Checked all the paperwork, checked the internet, pressed buttons in the 'usual' manner....Nothing. Please, someone here must have solved this.

Hi,

I use my 9509 via RGB primarily. When a first connected it to my Freeview box I got --/-- too. However, after plugging in the ariel and tuning the analogue stations, the clock was automatically set correctly. I didn't have to do a thing.

Cheers mate. Haven't plugged an ariel into it due to it being fed by only my cable box and DVD player. Will see if I can get one plugged in just for that.
