ok some interesting news

my boss where i work spoke to someone about plasma's, apparently there gonna drop a hell of alot in price by about this time next year. as the manufacturing proccess is about 40 times cheaper now. im certainly gonna hold off buying a 32" crt.

no offence but it doesn't exactly take a genius to work that one out!!!!!! It always happens with electronics...........

That's a helpful post.

This does not ALWAYS happen with electronics, as some developments don't take off well enough to lower the price. Also, in comparison to other technologies like Minidisk, Plasma has dropped in price a lot faster.

VCR's-thousands when new,same with DVD-R's,same with widescreen CRT's,same with colour TV's,same with PC's.......the list goes on.Plasmas and LCD will follow suite as the manufacturing process get's cheaper

Thank you for confirming what I have already said. It happens with some technology but not all.

The only reason for the before was that cypher007 has only just joined the forum, and I felt you post was not the most welcoming.
