Laurel & Hardy
The purity problem was different in all three instances with the PF2s. In my honest opinion, the second one must have been dropped in transit. The purity was absolutely chronic down both sides of the screen - nobody in their right minds could possibly have sent it out of the factory in that condition.
John Lewis have told me that they will take goods back within 28 days "no questions asked" so I've decided to place an order for the PF3, with them, as soon as they have stock available.
I'm sticking with Picture Frame since, in all other respects, the TVs I had for a few weeks last year were absolutely brilliant. The only other - minor -gripe I had was with what I believe is called smearing or image lag. However, when I switched the TV to Progressive, for all inputs, ie DVD (without Prog Scan), analogue and Sky Movies, this smearing thing just went away.
I've looked at the other forums re LCD displays etc and have been around the shops and, it seems to me that this is still early days in a developing technology. I don't think they've got it right, yet. At least, not at a sensible price. £3000 for a 32" telly - I don't think so.
So, fingers crossed. Thanks for your comments and help.
