I've got the 28 inch version. There don't appear to be any inherent problems with it, but I've had 2 faulty ones and one with a scratched screen. I'm waiting for my 4th one to be delivered.

I'm very pleased with the picture and sound quality, which is why I'm sticking with it.

(I'm jealous that you've found the 32" version for only a few quid more than I paid for the 28 inch!).

Question

Thanks a lot for your comments, sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with it, was that because of the company you ordered from? Also are digital direct reliable? and is there any problems with the 100hz refresh rate?

Any help really appreciated

Not sure about online reviews but What Video and Widescreen TV reviewed the 28" version a couple of months ago and I read another review in another home cinema mag (can't remember which) a few days ago.

Both said it was a good value TV and a good overall performer. The second review I saw said that background detail could be better. As I said, I'm happy with the way it performs (but I have come from a 17" TV) and none of the other TVs I've looked at have had a picture as noise free.

As for 100Hz blur, I've not had any problems on my 28" - there is blur on occasion during very fast moving scenes, but nothing like as bad as I've heard about. I even watched a footie match when I first got it (I hate footie) to test for blurring and it was fine to my eyes. You can turn off flicker reduction and noise reduction if you want (in fact, I think they are switched off by default). I keep them switched on because the picture is completely flicker and noise free with only a slight loss of sharpness.

I should warn you that all three sets I've had have taken a week or so to settle in. At first use, the picture looks a bit hazy, but it soon sharpens up with use.

What kind of experiences have anyone had with Digital Direct, as they are by far the cheapest for the 32dtx10? Any good or bad dealings with them?

IMHO if you have digitial TV (ie cable, sky, freeview) then you get this anyway on a 50hz TV.

If i watch the footy on cable bbc 1 then the picture suffers slightly from a halo effect and blocking, but if i switch over to normal aerial bbc is disappears. Although obviously aerial bbc has its only disadvantages.

I have just bought the 28dtx1 from them - turned up about 3 days after ordering. Haven't tested the tv yet but can't fault the service so far
