Connection help please

This will be easy peasy to you guys, but like "Who wants to be a millionaire?", the answers are only easy if you know them. I have a Panasonic TX28 DTX1 , a Toshiba RD XS32 HDD recorder, an NTL set top box and a VCR. What is the best way to connect them all up, please? Obviously I want to record digitally to my DVD recorder and would also like to copy my VHS tapes to my it. Would I need scart connectors,and if so which should I get? I would very much appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
