What is the Best TV for £1000?

What TV can you recommend I buy with my £1000 approx budget?

I currently have an excellent Toshibe 32" widescreen CRT TV which I am happy with except for the screen size.
It will be connected to DVD, SKY, PS2, X-BOX and VCR. Progressive scan is in my mind but am not sure how much this improves picture quality (PAL or NTSC).

I am open to 36" CRT, Rear Pro possibly and even if it seems right, a projector to go alongside my existing TV. Please help me choose!

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Cheers
Bradds
