Question Can't switch off channel OSD display on Panny 36PD30

Took delivery of a shiny new Panny TX-36PD30 today. I got my previous tv 12 years ago when I rescued it from a skip. So this is a huge jump into the future.

Set up has been fairly straight forward but one thing is escaping me. There is an OSD with the current channel/AV input at the top left of the screen and it won't go away. I've scoured the manual and am close to giving up.

Can anyone show me the light as to how to switch this eyesore off?

Thanks in advance, Hoss.

There is a button which has a picture of a square with a + inside it.

This button is underneath the arrow keys. That toggles the OSD, off and on.
