I cant make out my mind. Should I buy the sexiest tv ever build, the panasonic pd30, or should I buy a different tv?

Go for the Panny - I did, and no regrets so far.

Only downside is that after the frau first complained about the sheer size of it when it first arrived, it's now difficult to get her away from the damn thing :-(

How is the picture if you se on TV. Not dvd.

I need to adjust the geomtry a tad - just a case of finding sufficient time to do it.

Also the "Panasonic Auto" screen aspect mode has an annoying habit of switching itself mid-program, but this is simply fixed by switching th 16:9, 4:3 or whatever.

Other than that - no problems so far using a (Pace) Sky Digital sat-box, Nokia MediaMaster 9800S sat-box and a Toshiba SD2109 DVD player.

My Denon DVD2900 DVD player and Mark Grant component cables will turn up this week so will at last be able to try prog scan.

You mean there is auto and manual adjust?
Is it lot of menus då getting into the manual settings or is it some button o on the remote conroll? Dont know anything about tv yet. Do you have any picture of the remote controll for tje pd30?

I do not have a picture of the remote, but I can tell you it is one of the best remotes I've ever seen - very well laid out with just the buttons you need in view, and some others (for VCR etc) hidden behind a small panel at the bottom.

The menus are very well designed and easy to navigate.
