Help please.. pani 30

Right.
I have a pani pd 30 ( 36 inch ) widescreen coming Thursday.
I have been to argos to but a bigger stand for it.
I opened the packaging tonight and it said maximum weight 65 kgs to put onto the glass shelf.
I know the pani is 82 kgs total weight ( with the stand i hope ), but does anyone know the weight of the pani on its own ?
I do not want to break the new stand ( its glass ).
Thanks for any help given.
Regards Jacko.

Jacko,

Bad news, I'm afraid!

The box that my 36PD30 came in says 89Kg, whilst the box for the stand says 19Kg.

So, allowing for the packaging, I think we can conclude that the 82Kg generally quoted is for the TV alone.

Incidentally, can I ask why you aren't using the Panny stand?

Not only does it look sensational but, being specifically designed for this TV, it's very stable.

If the TV ever gets knocked over, it could cause serious injury, especially to a child.

Anyway, good luck for tomorrow!

@Tight Git
Many thanks for that m8.
I took the stand back to Argos today.
I will try the pani stand.
I only went for the other stand as i have many receivers/ amps etc to go on it.
The pani stand does not look like it will hold all my gear.
We will see tomorrow.
Once again thanks,
Regards Jacko.
