Toshiba 36ZP46p flickering picture

Hello

when i switch on my now 5 year old tosh 36zp46 tv, the picture flickers quite a lot, mostly went the picture pans. the flickering would last for about 15 minutes then the tv seems ok
does anybody know what this could be?
is the tv about to lay down?
