Lowe aconda screen wavy

Hi Guys,

Please can you help me out, Ive just bought a loewe aconda CRT 2002 model.
I have just noticed the screen is wavy at sides, and when the banner on my cable box comes up it is also not rectangular it goes up at the ends.
Please help I was really looking forward to having this tv and heart just sank!!

That's one of the pitfalls in buying second-hand.
Did you check it out before buying?
You'll never get perfectly straight edges with CRTs, especially larger screen sizes...if it's really bad it sounds like a fault in the east/west circuits...or the previous owner has been in the service menu and screwed it up, but you'd need to call in an experienced TV repair man for a proper diagnosis I'm afraid.

Yep tv was looking great in shop its a ex trade in.Ive just turned it off for 5 mins and picture was great for about 10 mins then like I say it just concaves in

Sounds like a fault if it's happening on warm up. Luckily these sort of faults usually don't cost too much to repair.
