Toshiba 32ZP46 Horizontal lines when you turn it on

Hi All
I have a Toshiba 32ZP46 which is around 4 years old, and over the last 6 months Ive been getting Horizontal lines all over the screen when you turn it on, for the 1st 5 to 10 mins, then its fine and a good picture.
But this has been getting worst, and the last few days its been on 15 mins and then the picture will go altogether but come back after 5 mins !! sound is there just no picture.

Is this worth getting fixed or is it terrminal ? could it be dry joints?
I would love just to get a new tv but money is the big problem, so have to try and make do at the moment.

These are known as flyback lines, and are usually caused by a faulty or low emission CRT. Some other faults in the line output stages can also cause this symptom, so it may be worth ringing up a few local repair companies to come and have a look at it.

Wow, mine too!

I bought mine 5 years and three weeks ago with a.... yes, you've guessed it..... 5 year warranty!

Appears that anything which should be red is now blue, currently watching Die Hard on film 4 and the usually bright red Film Four intro screen is bright blue!

Do you think this is fixable ?

Thanks

Ryan
