Bizarre Dropout On My Sony

Hi,
My Sony IDTV has recently just started having small glitches.
As I'm no expert on anything technical I'll be brief.
TV's warmed up nicely and every now the screen will go purple and then a few seconds later white and then change to its wallpaper and then back to the channel and the channel information will be displayed again(as happens when you initially select the channel..ie..BBC1...ITV etc etc.)
It doesn't seem to be a signal problem, picture is A1 all of the time, then BAM!!
Im just abit worried something might soon go BANG!!!
Is this a well known problem with Sony IDTV's?
If anyone can shed some light I'd be forever grateful.

MODEL....SONY KD-28DX40U
VERSION NUMBER R3.00
LOADER V1.01

Thanks
Phil

Exclamation

Hi,

I've had that occasionally since the change to the software.

Probably only happened 3-4 times since the update though.

I hope Sony are planning a fix as the update has made changing channels and text much quicker but the rest of the set seems more flakey!

Sorry to hear you've got the same glitch. Pretty sure it's the software as you say. At least it's not a component problem. But you'd have thought that a company of Sonys stature would of fully tested it..!!

I'll et you know if I can find any dates for upgrades being broadcast.

Regards
Phil
