HDMI cable ??

Was just wondering if the thickness of the cable on a HDMI cable matters in the quality of the product.

Re: HDMI cable ??

The wire gauge of a cable can make a difference on longer runs - thin cable can cause a problem.

Conversly overly thick cable can be tricky to install and put undue stress on HDMI sockets - you need to find the best compromise to suit your needs.

Thanks Joe.
Have just received a HDMI cable to replace the HDMI cable that came supplied with my Humax HDR receiver, the one that came supplied with the unit did not have gold plugs fitted, but is a bit fatter "for want of a better word"then the one I ordered to replace it,which has gold plugs.
It is only going from the PVR to my Pioneer Media box, which is about a half a Metre apart.
