Unhappy DVI to HDMI

Hey guys, I just bought a PS3 and a lovely HDMI cable to connect to my HD ready TV and then realised it only had a DVI port. I am aware that you need a converter cable thingy but am a bit confused by the whole thing. People keep saying that HDMI-DVI converter cables tranfer picture quality but not audio, does this mean no audio at all or just the HDMI audio quality? If there are coverter cables do I still need my HDMI cable? Any reccomendations? Sorry for the lack of technical knowledge and any help or a point in the right direction would be massively appreciated.

Hope someone can help.

James

P.s. I have a Bush LCD27TV006HD tv which I bought ages ago because it was cheap and apparently 'HD ready'.

Re: DVI to HDMI

I have a HDMI to DVI convertor plug available here which would enavble you to use a standard HDMI cable to connect the two.

This will only deal with the Picture side of things and you'd have to have a look on the Bush with regards to what audio inputs it uses (Optical in, Red and white RCA ???)

I'm presuming that you are not using a seperate surround amp which would deal with the audio side of things.
