Apologies if this has been asked before.

I am sure that I am not the only person confused by Philips TV model numbers, and by the various versions of Pixel Plus/Perfect/HD etc.

I am looking to replace my existing Philips HDTV (5 years old now, gasp) and would prefer to stick with a manufacturer that has at least some European presence.

So - at the larger end of the Philips range (46/47 inches plus) which LCD model is regarded as "best", for both HD satellite broadcasts, and for BD? I have almost no interest in gaming. Are there any juicy new models/technologies on the way from Philips?
