dead pixel and all 36inch tv owners

hi,
yet another fault on tv only 5 days old and now found a dead pixel half way across the screen and a quater of a inch up, the tv is a 36inch toshiba 36zp38b, does anyone no how u stand on warranty, is there a minimum number of pixels before the change tv or is one dead pixel usual on tv this size, also would like to ask all you 36inch tv owners do you normally get slight 3d effect when certain colours appear i.e. when white shown a green tint one side a blue another?? please help out?

Isn't that a conventional CRT ("tubed") TV? In which case it doesn't have pixels.

Regarding the warranty/replacement situation, I'd suggest contacting the retailer & complaining. At least log the complaint as early as possible.

Not familiar with that set but I'm sure others have experience.
