Toshiba 32ZP18B connection.

My Step-Dad has had one of these picture frame TV's for a few months now and has just recently bought a DVD player (it's an £80 Tosh from Richer Sounds) and Sky+. He is not very techy but likes things to sound and look the best they can, so I was wondering if he needs to connect the DVD and Sky+ up to the TV using coax/optical interconnects for the sound quality to be fully utiilised?
