Goodmans GTV76RF1 - pictures goes blank in widescreen mode

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum guys!

I have Goodmans GTV76RF1, recently the widescreen mode has stopped working correctly. When scrolling thru the picture modes it goes black when it reaches widescreen mode and doesn’t make the usual clicking noise when the screen resizes. All other formats work correctly and the picture quality is perfect. The only problem is in the other zoom formats is that during football I cant see the score/time and it looks funny on my free view menu etc.

Anyone got any ideas? I would imagine there is some sort of physical switch/servo that isn’t returning to its position, I have searched Google and various forums but can’t even find a similar problem. Any info would be great it’s not an amazing TV but it does the job for me so I wouldn’t mind getting it repaired if it was viable.

Thanks in advance

This sounds like a problem with the eeprom memory which in this chassis which is quite common. A replacement chip or sometimes a re-programme should solve your problem.Cost wise would vary from company to company.Try for a free estimate if poss as its not a diy.
