Okay folks I'm after your opinions / advice / help.
I've got £1500 burning a hole in my pocket and a big gap where my telly used to be (the old one went pop).

I'm looking for a 36" with the best picture quality possible. I'm using purely digital inputs (Sky and DVD player) and my sound is processed through my amp so the sound will be muted on the telly. I was wondering if I could get a general opinion on the best sets available for my money???? And it would help me to swing it with the missus if the telly wasn't an eyesore........any helpers?????

HERE - though it's graded.

Graded means it has had a fault of some sort in the past, has been returned to Sony and then repaired.
This stock is then sold as Graded stock (usually about 20 - 30% lower price than new)
Still has full guarantee tho'

I think graded in this instance is that the set is an Ex display model so might have the odd mark, if you go for it I would email them first and get them to confirm that there are no marks to the screen and check how long the guarantee is for.

I say this cos I checked out the link and it was from clicking on (Ex display) models.

Interestingly they have an ex display Panasonic DVD recorder on there for £199.

Just been on the above site and seen the Sony 41PZ1 for £800.....does anyone know anything about this set.....from what I can find it's been discontinued by Sony, anyone know why?

Also does anyone know where I can find a price for the stand that goes with it (SU-41PZ1).

If no one can think of a good reason why I should be wary of these two products I might get both

Do a search as a few peeps on here bought graded PS2's and PX2's last year and the consensus was that they looked 'as new'.

I guess graded is what is known in the US as "refurbished"... ?
