Best place to buy 32" widescreen?

Hi,

We are in the process of deciding on a new 32" Widescreen TV and are wondering where to purchase from.

I've always preferred a bricks and mortar shop as it seems like after-sales SHOULD be easier. We have a large Comet and Currys literally 5 minutes away. I've never been brave enough to buy anything major online, and I've read stories of online places being err, sub-optimal as regards after-sales service.

Any recommendations welcome.

Many thanks,

Paul

BTW, location is near Manchester.

If they stock it the TV you are after, then get yourself down to John Lewis in Cheadle and take advantage of their price match and free 5 year warranty.

I found the after sales service to be fine too when my PD30 blew up.

www.dixons.co.uk

www.currys.co.uk

www.comet.co.uk

All the above usually have quite a few items cheaper if you buy from them online. You can save £150 off of tv's between the instore price and the online price for instance.

I advise going to look round the above stores and if you see something you like then write down the model number and go back home and look for the same model on there website.

Also check dealtime, pricerunner etc just to see if its cheaper anywhere else and dont forget to take delivery into account!!
To find delivery charges on some sites you need to stick the item in yr basket and go to the checkout. Once you find out the delivery just return to homepage.

Also look to see if there is any promotional offers on or discount codes/vouchers etc Here

Hope that helps
Bry

Yes, but they're still dearer than other on-line stores. I've looked at 3 sets at Comet's on-line store, and they're all at least £150 dearer than the best on-line price - and that's not including delivery.

The only reason I'm considering Comet is the interest free option plan, as I can't afford to pay the whole lot up front right now.
