SAGEM HTD 501 flashing orange light

Hi guys, I have looked through other posts and can't see anything that matches my problem exactly so here goes.

I have a SAGEM HTD 501 which won't turn on. It flashes orange and then I hear something either power up or move then get a high pitched whining sound. Is this the colour wheel?

Thanks in advance folks

Re: SAGEM HTD 501 flashing orange light

Anyone???

Forgot to add that after the set gives up and returns to standby mode the light goes red then stays orange/amber.

Any help here would be hugely appreciated as the kids have no television as this is in their sitting room.

UPDATE,

I now have a manual-sourced it myself.
Now it says with the fault I mentioned above to turn off, waite for 30 secs and restart but nothing else. Can someone tell me if this means the bulb has gone?
Or if in fact something else has gone wrong

Guess not - I'll find out and fix it myself. But I will update what the fault is and was.
Lots of views and not one reply?

I now have the bulb well I have the complete bulb housing. Do I still need to reset the lamp timer? Or can I just plug this in and watch tv?

Having come from other firums I expected more to be honest. If the other forums i used had an Audio Visual section then I would have my problem solved by now.

If its still relevant, yes ,you go into the setup menu and reset the factory settings which starts the count from zero. I have just done it on mine.

This is a wide ranging forum and the only ones who can help you are those who know your specific model of tv. There's not a lot of point in posting messages like "Sorry mate, don't know".

Usually its the other way round, people getting help and not ever bothering to say thanks or confirm if the problem is resolved. If they did then others would see the solution on a search. The last two people I helped and emailed stuff to couldn't even be bothered to say thanks or even reply.

Works both ways.
