Samsung HC-P4252W - Yellow Lines

My three year old Samsung HC-P4252W tv has developed 2 yellow shaded areas. They run from the bottom corners of the screen and head towards the top middle of the screen. They are 3 - 4 inches wide. Once the tv has been on for awhile, the yellow areas are only visible in the bottom corners.

Can someone tell me what my problem is?
Will the repair be prohibitively expensive?
