who's just had a 32"tv

good morning, i'm ready to take the plunge with a new tv, but do not fancy hanging around for a delivery that may or may not occur. my question is, has anyone out there just got there tv and still got the box to measure for me to see if it will fit in a racked out van? or more specifically the box to a sony kd32dx50? is the stand in a seperate box? thanks for your trouble, bockster

Stand will indeed be in a sperate box. Probably flat packed unless ex demo. Bought a 32" tv a while back and it fitted in the back of a discovery with the back seats folded down...JUST! (a bit of spare space height wise though if that helps).

Measurements out of the box were Height 90cm x depth 23cm x width 23cm (philips though not a sony). I'm afraid I can't help with an actual box measurement though.

I still have the box from a Sony KV32FQ70 (keeping for a little while just in case it has to go back) that is probably a similar size.

The box measures length 102cm, width & height both 72cm - only just fitting through my doorway.

As Ferris wrote, the stand is in a separate smaller box.
