question about pc input

Hi i have a samsung 50" dlp and i have a question about the pc input. im using a vga cord from the back of the computer to the pc input on the back of the tv. how do I get audio though? right next to the vga input on the tv theres a jack that says audio. it seems to fit like a normal headphone plug in would and its the same on the back of the computer. i was told by a guy at bestbuy that i needed a cord with one end like the headphone jack and the other end had the stereo input ( one whit one red) but theres no place to go for it. i tried all inputs and no sound. im not too technically savvy on this so any help would be great. thanks!
