3D TV is not worth it?

Watching Avatar in 1080p 3D Active on my Sony 55 HX823 is just another world entirely. Can't wait for Prometheus, Mad Max, Jurassic Park, Man of Steel etc

I think the release of avatar, spiderman, avengers, mad max, prometheus, etc will finally get 3d blu ray moving.

Like broadcasts, recordings depend on your subscription, so without SW they won't play after the "free" period".
Sorry, I only meant free insofar as it would usually cost me extra to get it, didn't mean to be misleading.

That's OK, and my comment was more for people who are not familiar with the way that Sky provide the 3D channel - normally only to those customers who pay the full Sky World package and then with no additional charge.

so does this work the same as the free movies etc in that I could record a programme even though I do not subscribe and watch it after the free period?

There are differing guesses on that point - see posts# 29 and 30.
With anything else you get to watch only recordings that are from channels in your current subscription, and the 3D channel requires the full SW subscription, but Sky are a law to themselves and you won't know until the "free" period ends - very soon.
