3D content

I bought a 3D TV cause it looked cool but I'm slightly disappointed because there's not enough 3D content and it was quite expensive.

I think you should see if your tv has a 2d to 3d conversion feature. I have a lg lw550t and I can convert everything to 3d I love it because I can watch pretty much anything in 3d.

What content are you referring to?
The only content that TVs can provide is either broadcast or through the internet if it's a Smart TV.
There is no broadcast 3D TV other than Sky's 3D channel which requires the full Skyworld subscription.
Any STV 3D content depends on the TV manufacturer's applications - Samsung have one but you'd need to check on your make.
For anything else you need to connect a 3D source, such as a BR player.

Unless you're keen on cartoons the first two don't add up to much.

You are right. There are not many movies to watch in 3D content. And most of them are animations. You can also try playing 3D games. Besides these, as people mentioned above, you can subscribe for Sky. I read several threads that say some of London Olympic games are broadcast in 3D content.

There will be some free 3D coverage of the "games" on the BBC HD channel.

Opening & closing ceremonies, 100m final and a nightly highlights show on BBC HD. 200 hours of live coverage on Sky and Virgin from Eurosport.

For the duration of the games only HD pack is needed to access Sky 3D, don't know what Virgin's charging is.

Exactly, you seem to have read the same thread Derek. I bought an LG 3D TV to watch the Olympic games. It worked very good when I played 3D games and watched 3D movies. How about you Derek? You trying to watch the Olympic games in 3D too?

I will also recommend some of good movies such as Transformers 3, Megamind, Tangled. I myself am waiting for Jurassic Park to be released next year I can’t imagine my usual day after work without my LG 3D TV. I enjoy watching great pictures after a hard day at work.

The BBC are currently plugging a dinosaur documentary and the closing night of the Proms in 3D, as well as the Stratford Sports Days events. All free on the BBC HD channel.
