does the SAMSUNG LE46C750 have sync problems

Iv noticed allot of problems with Samsung 3D sync. Is this a problem with this set?

If any one has this would you say it is good for heavy 3d viewing? Is there crosstalk?

Yes some have had problems with it. In fact any Samsung 'C' series has the chance of having sync issues as well as other problems that were evident on many of the 2010 C models.

There is crosstalk.

As for heavy 3d viewing, well that is arguable, some will say it's great others will say that any active 3D set is not good for 3D viewing. I myself would never go for another active 3D set and will only go for passive 3D in future or maybe glasses free if they ever get it sorted to a point that it is really good.

I would not personally recommend any Samsung TV beacuse of all the problems and their terrible attitude to customers when they ask for help with faulty TVs but if you must buy one then do yourself a favour and go for a 2011 'D' series thus eliminating any chance of sync problems because the glasses are bluetooth instead of Infra Red

Better still go for an LG passive 3D set such as the LW550 or LW650 and I can say for sure that they are best for prolonged and heavy 3D viewing without any eye strain issues etc.

Just my personal experience and view but no doubt others will disagree.

Are you still having problems with your tv? I have 3D issues and lots of crosstalk and glasses not syncing.

Just got off the phone with Samsung and they are sending an engineer to my home so hopefully something gets done.

Thanks

its a problem with the glasses not the set. The infra red in some glasses loses sync with the tv. I have 3 glasses , 2 work fine and 1 loses sync. I put a bit of black tape over the infra red bit on the glasses and they work fine. 3D picture can be very good BUT its heavily dependant on the firmware the tv has and you need to tweak the picture settings alot. Personally i love my c750 and think its great BUT can fully understand how it could drive others up the wall with its known issues on some sets. The engineer won't be able to fix anything, they'll just update the firmware ( which will probably make 3d worse!) and possibly change the board. You need a firmware like 1016, 1013, 2004 for excellent 3D, later firmwares made crosstalk worse.

I Have updated my tv to the latest firmware and the engineer is due next Friday. Might just cancel the engineer, Samsung won't repair/replace the glasses. Only the tv. Don't want the engineer to come and say tv is fine and charge me. But surely if it's a common issue I am entitled to something. The tv loosing sync and glasses messing up means its not working how it should so is there nothing I can do to get new glasses?

Thanks

its an issue samsung hid from i am affraid, its been proved many times that its the glasses with the problem not the tv. I would try putting a bit of tape over the little sensor on the glasses and see what happens..if its better then it proves to the engineer its the glasses. You can buy some universal XPand 3d glasses that don't lose sync with the tv. Problem is samsung will only try and fix tv.....if your glasses lose sync and they won't replace the glasses just demand a new tv...the 2011,2012 tv's don't lose sync, they use bluetooth glasses not infra red....samsung changed this for a reason!!!!!

I am going to wait and see what the engineer does, if he just claims I need new glasses I will say I've tried a new pair. I am not going to let samsung off easy and will do what I can to get working replacement glasses, I highly doubt I will get a replacement TV but if they are just awkward with me then I shall push for that very thing and take the matter further

You was right, engineer was here less than 5 minutes and 3 of those was confirming I had proof of purchase. He put glasses on and after a couple minutes the 3D sync was lost... lots of ghosting/crosstalk with his HalfSBS films on his memory stick... He is changing the PCB and Emitter on the TV. His 1st suggestion was firmware then he noticed I already have a newer firmware than him....

Any advice on what I can do here? TV is obviously not fit for purpose hence why Samsung quickly switched to bluetooth. I am contacting samsung again today to explain my concerns and that I don't feel confident that changing the PCB is going to fix my TV. Not sure what else I can do as I have been having these problems since I purchased the TV and with my warranty due to expire I feel like once it goes past that point I will be left with a expensive 2D lcd TV and designer sunglasses :P

Any help or advice on who I need to contact would be great.

Thanks

It isn't a problem with mine but that's not to say it's not a problem with anyone else's.
Mine's fine with the reasonable amount of 3D viewing that I do, but that's not to say it would be with anyone else's.

Their attitude was excellent when mine developed a minor fault after well over a year.
Within a few days they sent a couple of guys to replace the expensive main board in a few minutes for free.

I have had 3 main boards & 1 infra red emitter so far. Just waiting no replacement brackets now as they have been threaded. Have to see from there how it goes

That's a lot of boards - how long have you had it?
What brackets does it have?

I know but one didn't work, the second worked but HDMi 2 didn't give a picture (pink screen).

I have has the tv nearly a year and it has been a nightmare since purchase but only the last few weeks I have had all this home visits to change parts.

It's just a VESA wall mount. You have screw holes on back of most flat screens to attach a wall mount bracket, these were worn as my tv has been took apart so much. Engineers came again the other day with the wrong size. Had 5 or 6 visits already now. It's getting beyond a joke.

It's far worse than any joke.
Samsung have really let you down, and if it was me I'd have wanted my money back instead after the first two boards!

That’s the problem with active 3D TVs. You need to buy the right active glasses, you need to charge them ( I couldn’t watch my movie last time because I didn't charge glasses), sync them, sit straight, etc. This is why I prefer passive 3D glasses and plan to buy an LG next time.
