Sony KDL46W4500 vs Samsung LN46A650

I'm now seriously stuck on which one of these to go for.

Sony KDL46W4500 vs Samsung LN46A650

Price difference is irrelevant, I just want to know which of these sets is the best in performance,

I've been hearing differing claims, some who feel the Samsung is better, some who think the Sony is. I'e also heard they're exactly the same, outside of price.

After having watched a program on channel 5, which compared the Samsung to the KDL40W400, with the Sony edging it out, I'm even more confused. It seems odd that an older, smaller model of the Sony managed to beat the Samsung.

Anything to make this decision easier would be greatly appreciated. Remember, price is absolutely irrelevant. Thanks in advance

Personally i would go for the Sony everytime.

Bottom line is its YOUR eyes that matter and how well YOU think they each perform but for my money the Sony set is rather special at the price (being a mid range set).

Most reviews i have read would say the same thing.

I'm definitely leaning towards the Sony. I've asked on a different forum also, but would love some more feedback!

Thanks for replying!
