Some please help me.........

Hi after living with my Samsung 32r73bdx for 2 years, I think it’s time for a upgrade, now i would be ever so grateful if someone can help me I been researching a few sets and I am confused between 2 Samsung models these are

Samsung LE40856 (average price I seen it for is £856
Samsung le40786 (average price I seen it for is £899)

Now my main question as you have guessed is "which one is better?"

I assume that that the 856 is the latest model? Then how come the 786 is priced higher in most stores?

Furthermore I hear that the Samsung series 7, 8, 9 have severe input lags? Is this true? I will be gaming a lot on these sets (mostly offline), so would these models hinder my experience? I been told that Samsung have released a firmware update, does this update fix all the problems?

Thank you for looking and answering

Re: Some please help me.........

I know that on the 7 series input lag is a problem, and from what I have read I would avoid it if your main use will be gaming . Check the full HDTV Test review here :Samsung LE40A786 Review. for more info on it. Dont know about the 8,9 series sorry. Also consider taking a look at the Samsung LE40A656 & the Sony KDL 40W4000.
