The Sony KDL32W4000 - what does it actually look like?

After months of looking at TVs to buy, I ordered the KDL32W4000 this morning knowing it was 'Midnight Sky' colour, but in the photos it looked practically black. I have continued to look at the television on various sites and have now noticed that it is essentially two completely different TVs that are being shown, depending on where you look.

So, can anyone who has had experience with this TV tell me which picture it looks more like? For example:

A) As seen in John Lewis.

In this photo, the TV surround clearly looks black, with a completely transparent section above the speakers, and black panels on either side of it.

B) As seen in Comet.

Here, the TV surround is clearly more of a 'Midnight Sky' colour. It also has a partially transparent section above the speakers (which also look different, as does the stand) and the panels on each side are silver.

Why they are advertising these two different televisions under the one name baffles me.

Any help is appreciated as I am dreading having to send the TV back after months of searching!
