Toshiba 42XV555DB 42" LCD TV - Can Someone Help Me ????!!

Hello ..

I'm a new member and i hope you can treat me with kids gloves ...

I've been looking at the
Toshiba 42XV555DB 42" LCD TV

And am thinking of making the plunge based on the review elsewhere on this site of the 46" version ....

I just have a few questions ...

1) am i right to assume the review of the 46" is valid for the 42" (the 4inches aside)

2) does anyone know if there is a review of the 42" 42XV555DB anywhere, as i can't find it ... :-(

3) Is £600 a fair price for the spec I'm getting on the 42XV555DB ?

4) If not can anyone recommend anything else that falls into the £600-£650 bracket with 1080p and 42" and is gonna last me at least 2-3 years ?

the 42xv555 is the newer version of the 42xv505 or 42xv503 some places have it . i cant see any difference from the older version {not that its old anyway}
the 555 just has a new shell . apart from that i cant tell the difference
the 505/503 come out in may i think .

The link you supplied is for the XF series, therefore I'm not too sure how much of this review applies to XV series you are considering?

I'd look into it a little more.........

My Father in law has both the new Toshiba 37" and a Sony 40" W series. Both running through sky. The Sonys are award winning and good tvs. After staying there the week I decided to buy the toshiba 42xv555db. Why, the price the look and there was not a lot difference in the picture.
I have the tosh at home and am running the V+ and the high def looks great.
