LG 42LD450 Price Jump

I decided to buy a LG 42LD450, and when I checked the prices a few days ago it was retailing at about £400. (£390 at Amazon, £400 at Richer Sounds and a couple of other places.) I was going to head to Richer Sounds and buy it today, but to my surprise the price has suddenly jumped -- it's £490.00 at Amazon, £449.95 at Richer Sounds, and also higher at other places.

It's very frustrating! Does anyone know what's going on? Is it likely to come down again if I wait?

thanks and best wishes,
Mohan

mmmm the same thing happend to me burbly. I think there are gearing up for the xmas (still months away though). The only thing I will say is keep watching Amazon, argos & even rip off Comet, the price will move like a yo-yo, but don't wait to long thought, we have the budget in October 20th & the VAT rise Jan 04 - 2011, on the other hand u could gamble & wait just before or after the budget were the price should come down, + you have the 3D TV's on the market now. There are so much variables on prices, so just keep an eye on the prices. I have one LG 42LD450 & I think its great, got it very cheap under £400, guess were........ comet a month plus ago........ but I did have a £75.00 voucher from my American express card....... lol. One small thing though, if u do go down the road & purchase from Comet, buy & pickup from the store, just before you click to buy, ask the live assistant (on the comet web site) to assist, explain u want to purchase this & they should give you a further 5% discount..

Probably shifting overstocking at the cheap price...now finished

High Street stores probably all price matching each other too.

Do a search through Kelkoo, there are cheaper prices coming up...e.g. £430

Thanks... I did see the £430 link, but I was a little worried as I had never heard of that retailer (Electrical123.com), whereas Richer Sounds seems to have a pretty good reputation. Does anyone have any experience with Electrical123.com?

it occurred to me that perhaps the prices were reduced for the bank holiday weekend? Does that normally happen?
