Question Help Buying LCD/LED 32" HDTV

Hey guys new here and just like to say you have a really good site heard you do some nice reviews so i thought id check you out

Im looking to buy a 1080p HDTV 32 Inch for around 500 to max 550£, id love it to be a LED but i dunno if i can get one for this money. Bonus features id like to have would be USB Connectivity for films and 100 Hz.

I found Samsung UE32B6000 (LED) for 541£ on prcdirect but its high in my budget. The TV will mostly be used for HD Gaming and Blu - Ray films.

Thanks for any help

Looks like it does need calibration to get the best out of it.

I would say Samsung, as it looks nice and slim.

You really need to see them in person and decide.

I'd stick with the samsung, although if you want to throw Sony into the mix the Sony KDL-32V5810 is a pretty nice set in my opinion It's also a tad cheaper

Whats the difference between the W and V sony models, is it one is 50hz and the other is 100hz?

Sony are replacing all of their 2009/2010 models like the W, hence it will be harder to find instore, but also why the price is so good (the equivalent new model EX503 is £700 Sony Bravia KDL32EX503U 32-inch Widescreen Full HD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo).

Maybe try a Sony centre for the old model on display. I wouldn't buy anything on the strength of what you see in Currys If you prefer the looks of the Samsung, go for that, after all you have to live with it...depends if you can live with the sound or get a sound system

ok just to put into the works although im leaning towards the sony is the:
LG 32LH7000-http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?SKUNumber=108171&Model=LG-32LH7000
at 400£

which just recently had a high bill to pay so this may be a better option to keep me gf happy lol about the spending xD

I am also about to choose a new 32

I got the Panasonic Viera TX-L32X10Y but I do not like it at all so I am looking at the

Samsung LE32B355
LG 32LH2000
Sony Bravia KDL32W5500

And the Sony looks to be the best? But also the one that costs the most.

There is a new version of the Sony Bravia KDL32W5500 and it is called Sony Bravia KDL-32EX402 if i got it right? But I do not see much of a change in the info?

BestRegards

I believe the ex503 is the new W5500 (has 100hz processing). It is the most expensive TV in your list because it is a) Sony b) full 1080p HD c) Has 100hz d) Is much better than the others which are base models

If it is too much but you want full HD, look at the

Sony 32V5500/5710 (50hz)

Sony Bravia KDL32V5500U 32-inch Widescreen Full HD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Panasonic 32S10 (50hz)

Panasonic TX-L32S10 32-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Amazon have the W for £500 if you want the 100hz (because you watch fast stuff like football)

Might not be new though and in only a few stores so may not find one locally (no delivery), although for £50 you can add a 5 year warranty

Indeed - 1 in Bristol and 2 in Leicester at time of last update (DK if new)

"Last Few To Clear, So Hurry! Stocks limited/not available in all stores. Some may be ex-display at this price."

Check whether it has also had a panel change like the 3000 which now seems to suffer motion blur

Otherwise, a decent TV with plenty of features

Hi,

The new Sony Bravia KDL-32EX402 was recomended over the older KDL-32V5500 by a friend, does this sound right? Is the new 32EX402 a beter TV then the 32V5500?

I was in the store today and bought a Sony Bravia KDL-32BX400 (same price as the 32V5500), according to the salesman this was a brand new model from Sony? Is that correct? I can´t find it at sonys website? How does it compare to the 32EX402 and the 32V5500? Should I switch?

BestRegards
