I've got about £400 to spend on a new LCD TV (my old widescreen CRT has given up). I had been looking at the Samsung LE32B530 but it seems hard to find for £400 with a decent warranty. Can I purchase an extended warranty from Samsung regardless of who I buy from? I did want to buy from Richer Sounds but they're having trouble with stock.

Any other 1080p alternatives to the Samsung for the price?

I think RS have just brought the LG 32LH3000 down to £380 which would be a good alternative

This model has been in short supply and therefore some of our stores may be temporarily out of stock. However, I’m pleased to confirm we are due to receive a large delivery from Samsung within the next week.

In response to your query regarding prices with a 5 year warranty, our current price for this TV is £349.95, and our 5 Year Guarantee is priced at £34.95, making the total price for the TV and 5 year warranty £384.90.

It would indeed be of use, I would be looking to buy the LE32B530 and warranty as soon as there's a store in the Manchester area with stock!
