32" Should i get the Sony or Samsung

hi guys,

i'm in Aus

deciding between a couple of 32" lcds (will be used as a PC monitor 80% of the time (inc PC gaming), rest will be between watching TV and PS3 gaming)

models i'm tossing up between are

Sony 32" KDL32W5500 (around 1100aud)
Samsung 32" LA32B550 (around 950aud)

sony has 100hz but panel is rated at 8ms (also has widgets+ lower power consumption)
the samsung is 50hz but panel is at 4/5ms (depending on where i look)
(i like the styling more)

i currently have the samsung LA32R71BDX in my room and its been a great screen (4+ yrs i've had it for)

anyway looking at seeing some responses in which one i should get

thanks for the opinion...

i'm clearly leaning towards the sony BUT some sites where they compare viewing angle, the samsung comes out on top... guess i'll look at it more instore and see...

but ultimately comes down to price i guess...
and how well i can negotiate :0

My dad is looking at the 32" Sony too. He's going to go to John Lewis and see if they'll price match an online price.

a mate of mine is saying sony full HD tv's wont go u to 1920x1080 resolution on pc (he's not sure about hdmi/9p dsub - he said tried all?)
this is on 3 of his friends screens...

is this fact/or something missing?

oh one last question... how are these native 1920x1080 screens when outputting 1366x768?

some games i might want to go down in resolution to get a decent frame rate...

atm have a 9800GT card (looking at getting an ATI 5770 next)
