I was very up to date on here and mags when got my kit but have not followed things recently.

Family member wants to get something this weekend and asked me for help.

They are after a screen for viewing from 7ft.

Sky TV and DVD

(possibly Sky HD / Blu Ray to follow)

Budget £500-700.

Will be their main screen - would have thought 42"??

Any suggestions?

Look at the 37X10 plasma from Panasonic for those uses, around £500 with 5 year warranty (cheaper with the one year). There is a 42 too, but I would say that is quite big for SD from 7ft
