LCD Better for this environment?

Hi again.

As I've been hunting for my new TV and Blu-ray, my parents (well my dad!) has been bitten by the bug as well, and has managed to obtain planning permission from my mam to let him fork out for a new HDTV!!

It's for their living room which can suffer from very bright conditions, they have to close the curtains to stop the reflections on their existing CRT set!

I'm assuming in conditions like that, that an LCD screen would be better?

The TV can be no bigger than 32" and will be used for SD viewing over Sky+. They will be getting a Blu-ray player as well, to be used with normal DVD's and some Blu-ray (obviously! ) But I guess 90% of their viewing will be SD telly. Not big sports watchers so that's not an issue.

My initial thoughts were the TV's I first started looking at
Toshiba 32RV635DB Full HD 1080p
Toshiba 32AV635DB HD Ready

Paired up with a Sony BDP-S360 Blu-ray Disc Player (which is what I ordered! )

Both sets are about their budget. They sit around 10-12 feet from the box. Do I understand correctly for that size set and those distances full HD won't make that much difference to picture quality?

Cheers,
