Arrow £500 budget 32" TV required!

Hi,

I've spent a rather demoralising evening trawling the web for reviews and prices for TVs and ended being no closer to finding one to purchase.

Therefore I would be very grateful for recommendations from the well informed members here for a TV that meets the following criteria:

  • 32"-37"
  • 100 Hz
  • 2 RGB Scart
  • minimum 2 HDMI
  • ideally 1080p

Will be watching a mixture of freeview (from a PVR), DVD, gaming (PS3) and ocassional Blu-ray

My budget is £500 possibly a little more (absolute max of £600).

Any advice and recommendations much appreciated.

Cheers,

Ed.

In 1080p LCD form, Samsung 32b650 (around £500), Sony 32w5500 (around £550), LG 32lh7000 (around £500) (the 37 inchers out of budget)

Otherwise, 720p, the fab 37" X10 plasma from Panasonic is under £500

Many thanks Vickster, do you have a preference any one of the LCD's in particular you recommended?

I would choose the plasma for your uses Bigger, excellent SD and motion handling...I don't game so cannot comment on that, but blu-ray and DVD (upscaled via blu-ray player) is excellent on my previous gen

Of the LCDs, probably the Sony, basically brand preference although the 5500 always looks excellent in shops with an HD feed (but as with any LCD, there is always the clouding and backlight bleed possibility)
