The age old 'Which?' question.

I have a budget of approx £800-£1000 for a new TV (old CRT went bang).

I'd like a 46" if possible but could go down to a 42" if the TV warranted it.

So, which should I be looking at.

Order of usage is

SD TV
HD films
Xbox 360
DVD

The first one I saw that seemed to get a fairly good review was the Toshiba 46XV635DB. Any advances on this?

Panasonic 46G10, currently £749 at Richer Sounds if in stock!

Panasonic VIERA TXP46G10 | 46 inch Plasma TV 1080p HD Ready freesat HD | Richer Sounds

Plasma but an excellent set and a bargain at that price!

Sorry, didn't think to put it in the section.

The thing with the Panny is that I keep reading negative reports about the SD quality. Aslo, I've no way of getting the TV home. I saw the Dixons offer as well but I'd also want an extended warranty. I'm waiting to hear from John Lewis about a Price Match.

I've been round and round and round the LCD/Plasma decision roundabout
