Hi!

I need a little help choosing a new 40 or 42 inch HDTV for the living room.

It needs to come with freeview, and will be used for watching DVDs and HD gaming as well.

Price isn't too much of an issue (although I would prefer to spend less than 600pounds) so long as I get reliability and something to last me the next 5 years. Obviously, the more value for money the better!

As Blu-ray seems to be the way forward I will perhaps buy a blu-ray player (or a ps3 slimline) so it needs to be 1080p as well.

Basically, any recommendations or help (e.g. is it worth waiting to see how the new 3d technology does?) would be appreciated.

Actually, as I wrote this I was browsing amazon and this:
Toshiba Regza 42AV635DB 42-inch Widescreen Full HD: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo seems like a good deal. Worth getting?

The best value for money sets that perform well are the LG LH3000, Toshiba RV635 and Samsung B530 or 550

thanks for the reply. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the toshiba RV635 and the toshiba AV63 series?

RV is 1080p.
