Why not the LG 42 LH5000 instead?

Hi,
This website has some Philips reviews -
DigitalVersus

It hasn't been updated for some months but most of the current models are on there, and the reviews are quite thorough. The website is based in France but the models are basically the same.

yeah worried about the uneven backlight though, have even been tempted to spend the extra £150 and get the WE5 eco version, no back light issues with that one apparently

42PFL7404H or Sony 40w5500?

Hi, I have also short listed the above two LCDs and i am finding difficult to decide. I am slightly inclinded towards the Philips mainly because it is a 42" vs Sony's 40". Also because of the response time which is 3ms for the Philips and 8ms for the Sony. ON the otherhand Sony are offering a 4 year warranty whilst Philips offer 2 years.

I wonder if anyone can help me narrow it down to one as i am not very technical myself.

Thanks,

Andrea
