Samsung LE40B530 or what else???

Thinking of getting one of these but just wondering what else would be as good or better for around the same money or maybe just a little bit more pricey.

SHARP LC46X8E at Richer Sounds - HI-FI Separates, Home Cinema, Speakers, MP3 DVD Portables, Plasma LCD, etc.

or

HITACHI UT42MX70 at Richer Sounds - HI-FI Separates, Home Cinema, Speakers, MP3 DVD Portables, Plasma LCD, etc.

or

SONY KDL40S5500 at Richer Sounds - HI-FI Separates, Home Cinema, Speakers, MP3 DVD Portables, Plasma LCD, etc.

or

SAMSUNG LE40B650 NETWORKED LCD TELEVISION - available from Superfi UK Visit http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/product_id/5172 for details

The last one. granted it might be a bit expensive, can be priced elsewhere, I have used this as an example, it is a brilliant panel.
Sharp is good value for money, 46 inch is great..
Hitachi is slim and sexy and 42 inch...
Sony , well over priced but a bargain here..
Hope this helps..

Re: Samsung LE40B530 or what else???

Just bought the B530, for its price range I think it's the best I could have got. Toshiba 32av615, LG 32lh2000 were options but after getting the B530, I'm very happy with my decision. Even looking at it without it being on looks like a stunning piece of furniture.

Re: Samsung LE40B530 or what else???

Nothing will beat the le40b530 at that price. You can pick it up for around £470 atm.

The hitatchi isn't a tv, it's a monitor! (Read the info).
Wouldn't buy a sharp, I've heard less than complimentary things about them.
The sony is the bottom range model, if you want something comparable with the b530 you want to be looking at the 40v5500, which is lot more money.

The b650 is a wicked tv but around £200 more than the b530, and personally I don't think that 100hz processing is worth the extra money.
