I am looking to upgrade my 32" Samsung LCD TV to a 40" Samsung LED tv but I want to keep my existing bracket.

The bracket is a Vogels efw6245 (23" - 32") but my thinking is that because the LED tv's are so much lighter I could get away with mounting a 40" on there...

Are there any adapters to take it from the smaller VESA bracket to the larger version? And will this work / be safe on my wall?

Hi bpc101,

Interesting one this. You have a samsung 32" and your bracket max is for your 32" so I would not gamble your expensive new 40" on this bracket as you have already said only max's at 32".
For me is it worth it for a few extra pounds.
You may want to have a different style of bracket for your new TV.
Buy a new bracket for your new TV and sleep well knowing your TV will be safe on the wall and sell the other one to get some money back.
