Is this ok for a P50V10?

I managed to get myself the V10 for delivery and installation on Weds so am looking for a bracket that preferably will arrive by Tuesday. I need it to tilt and swivel and sit as flush to the wall as possible when swiveled to a max of 15 degrees.

I'm not sure of the benefits of a double arm over a single arm but found the following which looks good, supports the 36KG weight of the v10 and should do everything I need it to. I am looking to spend up to £70 unless there is a good reason to spend a little more.

Double Arm Swivel Tilt Wall Mount Bracket for 30-50 inch Plasma LCD TV - Double Arm Swivel Bracket with Tilting - Bracket Type

Is this any good and has anyone used the company?

Cheers

EDIT: Found the same company on ebay, got it delivered for £52. They have 99.9% feedback on over 23,000 sales.

Hi Evilsatan,

Looks ok, the benefit of two arms rather than one is that the single arm cantilver can sag one side or the other when pulled out so double is the best. I went to Graham at M-formonline and got a free motion cantilever same usage as you great bit of kit and he designs them. Assured Advertiser on this forum. I wanted to have by plasma stay on the wall so spent abit more for quality.

Hope this helps.

I would much rather buy a British made bracket but on minimum wage with a p50v10 on my credit card I need to cut back over Xmas!! So went for the cheap and cheerful version above, it looks like it's the same the high street retailers are knocking out at £150-200. I'm sure it will do the job just not quite as good quality as the British ones

Can you let me know how good it is, any sagging etc, as looking at hanging my 46" Panasonic Plasma on the wall and that seems like a good price, cheers mate.

Arrived next day which I was really impressed with, looks very high quality but weighs a tonne which is a bit worrying but I assume it's normal for a bracket of this type.

Will be starting fixing it to the wall tomorrow

I won't be litening to the instructions again, they said use a 1/2'' masonary drill bit to drill the holes, so through caution I bought a 12mm bit rather than a 12.7mm bit. The holes are too big for the supplied wall plugs so I shall be out tomorrow looking for some decent 13mm rawlplugs before I risk putting the TV on the wall! Lovely plasma though currently on my floor

Hi Evilsatan,

Hope this helps wasting time on hunting for rawlplugs.
Screwfix do Fischer original Nylon plugs pk 20 for £6.99 for a 14mm hole.
I am a bit confussed as to what happened for you to get a bigger hole with a 12mm masonry bit, if you have the right plugs anyway, I would and have used myself fischer 10x100 solid wall fixings into concrete block wall.
These have a Hexagon head on them which requires a 13mm socket or spanner to wind them in. I got these from my local Jewson.
Big TV and heavy bracket so its got to be fixed right.

O by the way if you go for the 10x100 fischer's just check the 10mm bolts go through your bracket holes.

Hope this helps.

Cheers mate, heres what I have done.

Today I went to Wickes and picked up some 12x100mm Heavy Duty Fixers, turns out the brackets supplied plugs can't have been designed for a 1/2'' hole as the instructions say... I drilled the holes deeper and the wickes plugs fit quite snug. I then had to drill out the holes on the bracket by a few mm to fit these new screws through. Locked them down tight, two do not seem to tighten completely but the bracket seems to be more than sturdy enough, especially as I have 'upgraded' the supplied fixings by a substantial amount.

TV is up and looks great! Just going to keep a close eye on the bracket in the meantime just to be 100% sure

Hi Evilsatan,

Well done, sounds like that is fixed I thought you might of had the wrong bits from what you discribed.
Anyhow you are right to keep an eye on it for a while, don't want to find that coming off the wall one day.
