| Wiring for multiple peripherals to remote wall-mounted TV.
I’ve just bought a 40” Sony TV which I plan to mount on the wall. I plan to connect it to a FreeSat box (yet to be installed) and a DVD player. The TV will be mounted some 5 metres away from a convenient location for each of these & I want to avoid burying or trunking the different cables for each plus allow potential for future add-ons / changes.

I’ve noticed you can buy remote “terminal boxes” with the same sockets as you get in the back of the TV. Can I connect up my Freesat Box, DVD player etc into such a remote box and then bury a single individual say SCART lead in the wall to the TV? Providing the SCART lead is reasonable quality will this result in signal deterioration if its ~ 5 m long? Is there a better solution? Wisdom gratefully received. Thanks. GWD
