Panny 50" V10 Help please

Hi guys,

I've ordered a 50" V10 and will need to wall mount it but am a bit concerned about scart connectors being able to fit the space between the bracket and the wall. I have some QED scart connectors that are quite thick.

Can anyone suggest a bracket that I could use? I would like it to sit as close to the wall as possible while still being able to fit the scart cables to it.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Panny 50" V10 Help please

Hi

We manufacture the genuine Panny bracket as well as universal brackets which would fit this TV. The cable connections are not very recessed on this TV so SCARTS can be a problem. For this reason Panny specify an 80mm deep bracket to clear all eventualies including VGA;

M-Form - Genuine 2009 Panasonic LCD/Plasma Bracket

Our tilting Universal bracket would also suit the TV, it is 60mm as standard in it's vertical position which should also give you enough room for your cables;

M-Form - 32" to 52" Tilting Universal LCD/Plasma Bracket

Our standard flat mount is 32mm which may be a squeeze but you do get spacers in the fixing kit to add an extra 20mm if necessary;

M-Form - 32" to 52" Universal LCD/Plasma Bracket

Hope this helps.

Hi
Sorry to hijack the thread but seems daft to clutter the forum with a very similar question.....
I have a 50" G10 due anyday for delivery and want to wall mount it pretty flush, i will also be using 1 thor (chunky) scart lead until i can upgrade my amp and wondered if the above advice also applies to my G10 as it does to a V10 as i dont wanna wallmount this plasma and find i cant fit my scart lead in but also want it as close to the wall as possible.
I'm thinking about this one
M-Form - 32" to 52" Universal LCD/Plasma Bracket
as i have the option to get it pretty close to the wall after i do away with the scart connection (by removing the spacers)
Can anyone confirm this is enough clearance for a scart to fit if i use the spacer kit please?
Thanks in advance
Ben
ps a quick answer would be awesome so i can order it immediately!
pps the wall is pretty poor being made of thick plaster and then thin thermalite blocks i believe...will i get away with this weight of plasma on this wall?

Hi

With this bracket you get 60mm of clearance between the TV and the hanging plate and then a further 70mm between that and the wall.

This should give you enough space for a SCART no problem.

The other option is this one;

M-Form - 37" to 52" Free Motion Cantilever Bracket (Black)

This one is just 74mm when flat to the wall. You should be able to get your SCART in with the spacers in the kit but then you would end up with a much slimmer installation once you get rid of the SCART cable.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Graham
After doing some more reading on the G10 it seems that it needs to be about 70mm/80mm from the wall for ventilation purposes...dunno if everyone follows this but has me a bit concerned also with the possibility that the fans are noisy if mounted too slim.
I only budgeted £20 for a cheapo one off ebay as my mate bought one last year for his 40" sammy LCD (his has been fine) and i assumed that would be ok but read some people here had a bad time with sagging etc so i prefer to buy one from you and may go with your tilt bracket at £45 and ~60mm, what y a think?
Thanks
Ben

Hi

I don't think most people take much notice of the 70-80mm rule on the panasonics. Most TV manuals say similar, even up to 100mm but as long as you've got good clearance above and below the TV you should be ok.

You shouldn't have any problem sagging wioth just a flat bracket although it would be good to have tilt as it does give you the option of tilting slightly upwards if the TV sags a little (sometimes the actual TV flexes forwards rather than the bracket sagging).

Hope this helps

Hi,

I've got a free motion cantilever from Graham and In my opinion this is such a great bracket, so flexible, tilts, rotates and built to last.

I have had so many good comments when people come and see it on the wall.

Worth every penny in my view.

I'm in the process of buying a 50" G10 and found this thread of interest. I guess it might boil down to "ye pays yer money and ye takes yer choice" but why would someone shell out (relatively speaking) for the genuine Panasonic bracket?

A friend recommended what would be termed the cheaper option from ebay but I'd maybe want to go with perhaps a better quality bracket.

I'd be wanting to connect things up using HDMI but would have a cable for connecting to a laptop so have taken note of the comment on depth for VGA connectors.

thanks
