Around £200 for an unsub'ed TiVo and up to £400 with lifetime sub

What sort of HD size is recommended?

They come as standard with a 40Gb drive that gives around 11 hours recording at best quality. It is very easy to upgrade the drives and can go to 2 120Gb drives - or even more giving 80+ hours at best. Larger drives will add to the prices above.

Best place to buy one?

Ebay or TiVoland

Yes!

Romour of a new UK model?

Humax are in discussion with TiVo inc about releasing a new UK TiVo, but there are no guarentee that it will ever be released and even if it is it is unlikely to be for a fair few months yet.
