Re: Tonight Bones

Is anyone else finding this series to be really poor? The episode about the guy with the dissolving bones was terrible, and I was this far away from deleting my series link.

Re: Tonight Bones

I think the idea of having a new lab assistant and full time Sweets hasn't worked as well as they expected and has put too much pressure on the rest of the cast.
The little brother, lesbian aspect and a little too much forcing of the Bones/Booth flirtation haven't helped either.

That said I'm still enjoying this season and Stephen Fry is coming back

Still enjoy it but don't really care for the different lab assistant every week. Some of them have been good characters and wish they would pick one and be done with it.

The lesbian aspect is barely ever mentioned so wouldn't throw that out as a criticism. It do like the Sweets character as well.

Re: Tonight Bones

It's not so much the characters I'm having problems with, it's the stories. Sure, there has to be artistic license, but these are supposed to be professional investigators and what they do has become totally unrealistic.

Decaying bodies lying in a room where everyone is milling around gets me every time, especially as there are never any bio hazard precautions. Likewise in the episode where they had to sift through vats of sewerage. Oh, a crust has formed over the body, let's hit it with a hammer (all in the middle of a lab). A computer program, written in an afternoon, that can "virtually" reverse random decay and reveal tiny wounds caused by a murder weapon.

Spoiler\ And if anyone saw the dissolving bones episode, no explanation whatsoever of what the (tiny) woman who killed her husband used as a bath during her attempt to dissolve the body, and how she then moved that decaying body onto the beach without leaving any forensic evidence or being seen. /Spoiler

Only more of the lesbian angle could save it for me.

Yes, I have to admit some of the deaths are getting a little too crazy and odd. I would agree on your first comment, it's not the characters but the stories.

Re: Tonight Bones

To be honest the pilot totally threw out the idea this was a serious crime show at least in terms of the situations and technical side, I rate it pretty much in line with CSI Miami and the liberties it takes
