I have seen the film and it was fun. So is the series any better?

I'm pretty certain RENO 9-11 has been on FX in the UK, when that channel first started broadcasting.

If it's the same show we're talking about, then yes, the show's not too bad. It's hit-and-miss though: some moments are side-splittingly hilarious, and others are just "Huh, what?!". As such, you may prefer to watch a few episodes and see what you think. Bear in mind it's a spoof of shows like "COPS", but sometimes the thinly-veiled scripts are nothing more than a way of joining-up some skits together very loosely.

About 6.5/10 from me, though I have to confess, I've only seen half of Season 1, and not the film.

It's actually Reno 911, not Reno 9-11. Gives the impression it's related to 9 11 WTC when it's not.
You are right about it being on FX TV. I bought the first 2 boxsets.
Very funny show, I always liked the part when they were reading back number plates using the strangest words to describe letters.

I used to watch it regularly but just lost track of the show, maybe scheduling of too man repeats or they took a break and well that was it, watched the 911:Miami movie which brought back the fun of the series.

I have the film and have had all the seasons imported, this show for me gets a 10 out of 10 every time, it's just a really funny show that shows no sign of slowing down, i can't wait for the next season.
